Outfit Post: Natural Curls & A Sliver Of Skin

{Bahama Bucks + handmade bracelets with Brittney}

I went home early tonight and tiredness has suddenly hit me. Today I had school in the morning then picked Brittney up for some quality best friend time at Bahama Bucks before she leaves me back to Cali. I surprised her and made her two braided anchor bracelets that I knew she would love. After that we headed to Chandler mall and did some shopping {we weren't successful}. Then I had to say bye to her :( Hopefully I will go visit her soon! A vaca sounds very nice right about now. After that I went to Jeff's first playoff game {they won} and met my friend Rea for some good ol' baseball. For dinner Jeff and I went to Salty's like every Thursday and like always, it was delish! Here is what I wore today.
high-waisted white shorts Forever21, jean DIY studded button up tank, MADEWITHLOVEBYALYSSA: necklace, "Remember This" ring, nut ring, nut earrings, Dainty peace bracelet, H&M platform coral sandals, hobo bag Plato's Closet, floral glasses

Now that I finally posted pictures, look how good my St. Tropez tan turned out!? I love it. A little tip that I like to use when showing a little skin in public is, if it is above the navel a sliver of skin is acceptable. I don't care much for the whole stomach hanging out thing. {I'm not talking about workout outfits/swim cover ups, I'm talking about outfits worn in public} Crop tops are in style this season and can be worn in tons of ways that don't reveal too much skin. Try pairing them with high-waisted shorts or skirt, over a swim suit, or even over a cute patterned maxi dress. Sorry, but the majority of people can't pull off the whole "midriff hanging out" thing even though they think they can...oops. Depending on how you do it, showing a little skin can actually be classy not trashy.

xoxo,
Alyssa
