The other day I saw an awesome tutorial on Youtube for a studded collar. They were using the studs that you have to manually bend to secure them in place. I have nothing against those...but my fingers do. I decided to try the collar myself but use my screw in studs instead. Here is how you do it!
What you need:
Felt
Scissors
Studs {I purchased mine from studsandspikes.com}
Chain & clasp
Needle & thread
1. Cut the shape of your collar. I used a template from the blog/Youtube video I saw here.
2. Lay out your studs for placement.
3. Attach studs.
4. Sew on chain
5. Finished product
Here is an example of how you can style it. I just tucked the normal collar inside my shirt and boom! Instant statement piece. Collars are in this season so have fun making and customizing your own for a unique look:) Happy hump day!
PS my interview for the Wall Street Journal got published today! I am so unbelievably excited. Check it out here.
