Beauty Bargain

Last week my aunt told me about elf's {Eyes Lips Face} new HD finishing power. Apparently, it is said to be the "dupe" {duplicate} of Make Up Forever's HD finishing powder. And since I consider myself a drugstore make up connoisseur, I can never pass up a good drugstore dupe! You can purchase it at Target for $6. So compared to Make Up Forever's version, for a pricey $32, you can't beat it! Since I don't wear a lot of make up, I love how it just smooths out my skin and blends all my make up together. I highly recommend it to any one.
I am going to release a new collection in my Etsy store this week. Possibly tomorrow? Stay tuned, I'm kind of obsessed with it:)

Outfit Post: Casual Chic

I had been doing homework all day and when I finally finished, I got ready and went to visit my bestie's new house! It is gorgeous and it only takes me 15 minutes to get there holla!! I wanted to be comfy today but still look put together. I also wanted to wear my new DIYed cut-off's Brittney and I did Thursday, so this is what I came up with. I'm pretty much obsessed with the way my shorts turned out. They are the perfect length and no joke, they were $7.99 at the thrift store...you seriously can't beat that. I love that the high-waist style is in because it honestly works with every body type. They are high enough to cover the tummy and love handle area and long enough to not look like a hoochie mama. They are over-all a classic womanly style that I adore right now!
{some of my brothers friends that couldn't pass up a photo opp. :)}

DIY: Painted Purse

I got the idea for the DIY painted purses from Mr. Kate! If you have never heard of her or her adorable youtube videos its time to check her out! Yesterday I promised I would post a DIY on how Brittney and I did our painted purses, so here it is!
{What you need: purses, paint in assorted colors, white paint, nail polish remover, cotton balls, paint brushes}

{wipe nail polish remover over the area on your purse you are going to paint}

{paint the area on your purse with white paint to ensure your colored paint will stand out}

{continue with the colored paint}

{Completed purses! Photo via Instagram}

This project was so much fun especially since we purchased both of these purses at the thrift store! {my purse was $1 and Brittney's was $4.99} Awesome! Happy Friday:)

Gel Nail Tutorial

Here is what was supposed to be my short video tutorial that turned into almost 10 minutes :) At least you know I didn't leave anything out! Comment below or contact me if you have any questions.

On a side note, I'm very proud of myself today for two reasons. One is that I got a really good grade on my last lab exam and ended up with a B in the class yay! I am all done with Geology {lab}! The lecture will end next week after I take that test. The second reason, is how I managed to memorized 8 new Zumba songs today for my class tonight. I kind of feel like a beast right now. Go me. Anyways, happy hump day it's almost the weekend!

DIY: Summer Gimp Bracelets

{gimp, assorted clasps & different sized jump rings}

{I purchased my gimp at Hobby Lobby for $5.99 and look how many colors are in there?!}
Remember making these bracelets back in Elementary school?! When I saw these were coming back in style I had to get my hands on some gimp and refresh my memory of all the different patterns available. I simply googled gimp patterns and here are three that I love;{zipper, square knot, & box}. These look adorable layered and mixed with chunky chain, bangles, and wrap bracelets. I hope you guys like this mini tutorial and I hope it inspired you to make some gimp bracelets of your own! If you have any questions feel free to comment below or go to my "contact" button on the side of this page:) Happy Tuesday!

Outfit Post: Melon & Chambray

Today Brittney and I went thrifting at a local thrift store by our houses called Epic. Let me tell you...it was EPIC! {haha we kind of made that an on going joke while we were there} But seriously we both found the most adorable things. I purchased a pair of mens high waisted jeans, floral high waisted shorts, olive colored high waisted shorts, and an awesome vintage side bag. All for $11! Holla! We were pretty excited about it. We are going to be doing a fabulous DIY to Brittney's brown vintage messenger bag that she picked up today on Thursday, so stay tuned for pictures. After we made a trip to Hobby Lobby {my second home} to get some random items we both needed to pick up like an organizer for all my jewelry making supplies that are currently sitting in hundreds of Hobby Lobby/Joans/Michael's bags on my floor {but we won't talk about it}. Lets just say, I'm so happy Brittney is back in the good ol' USA:) Here is what I wore.

DIY: Nail Polish Rack

I did this DIY awhile ago but I love it so much that I wanted to share it with all of you. It might be the easiest DIY ever because it only involves two things; nail polish and shelves. The shelves I purchased were from Michael's Craft Store and come with two in a box. {I really need to hang my fourth shelf because my nail polish collection is growing} Hang the shelves spaced accordingly to how tall all your nail polishes are {keep in mind they really are all different shapes and sizes so measure before hanging}. After shelves are hung, simply place all of your nail polishes/nail files/nail art accessories on the shelves. Simple as that!

Yesterday my parents and I went to a yummy little restaurant in downtown Gilbert called Euro Cafe. I had a lot of fun with my parents though and this is what I wore.
