Kimono Styling 101

One of my go-to looks lately, always involves a kimono. There is something so fresh and chic about them that I just love! If you haven't jumped on the kimono trend yet, let me help you ease into it :) Here are two ways that I would style a kimono for day and night!

The first look is obviously the casual option. I love the acid wash cut offs right now and paired with a graphic tee and floral kimono simply ads to the love. Another love of mine which you saw in {this} post are Birkenstocks. You cannot go wrong with classic black. Add a fringe black side bag and jewels to complete the look.

The second collage is the night out look. I went with gorgeous jewel tones to fancy the outfit up a bit. A sleek black maxi is never a bad choice and gold jewelry is my go to when I am trying to dress up a look.

I hope these two Kimono options gave you some outfit inspiration. Follow me on Instagram for more outfits and random life stuff :) @alyssamayedwards

See you later!

xoxo,
Alyssa

  1. I have had various kimonos and I always end up getting rid of them… but my friend keeps trying to sell them to me (she works in retail haha), and when I refuse to buy them, she makes me borrow hers. ;) Recently I got to wear her MINKPINK floral number to a concert, and I am currently in possession of her decadent velvet Winter Kate paisley piece - which I wore on a date this week! I styled it with cutoffs, booties, and a white tee. Easy peasy! I may have to reconsider my kimono boycott, especially since you always look so adorable in them! :)

  2. Love these. Question - Where is that gray graphic tee from? Digging it.
