Our Wedding// The Look

I am finally dedicating a whole series of posts to our wedding! I have gotten asked so many questions and I hope to cover every detail in this series. Today I am going to be talking all about "The Look" of our wedding.

Venue:
A year ago in August/September we decided to have our wedding at The Windmill Winery. It is a gorgeous winery out in Florence {about an hour away from our house}. It's rustic, shabby chic charm won me over. I knew I didn't want our wedding at a golf course or in a ball room, I wanted something unique! The Windmill Winery was more then I could have ever imagined for our special day. Our ceremony was out on the lawn and the reception was inside their barn. It was perfect!

Decor + Flowers:
We hired Kathy from Something Old Something Older to do all of our decor and flowers. I can't tell you how amazing she is! Our colors were blush and gold, and although I love super shabby chic decor, I wanted to add some glam to our rustic venue. She did just that with tons of gold details, blush flowers, mercury glass and plenty of chandeliers! Basically, I sent her inspiration photos and she completely created the wedding of my dreams. I didn't have to worry about anything! She was awesome! #bohemianglamor :)

The Dress:
Everyone has been asking where I got my dress, well, I actually had our close family friend make it for me! I designed it and we worked on it, changing things, making final tweaks and a couple weeks before the wedding had it all completed. I wanted it unique with the long sleeves and open back. The dress cut in at the waist and the material draped down to the floor. My train was around 8ft. long and we bustled it for the reception. For the ceremony I wore my mom's veil. It was so special to me that I was able to wear it. Plus it matched the style of my dress perfectly. For the reception I wore a flower crown designed by Posies Floral.

My Groom:
Jeffrey couldn't have looked more handsome that day! He wore a black Vera Wang tux with a black bow tie. I didn't want any color on any of the groomsmen. Classic black tuxes all the way!

The Maids:
All of my bridesmaids wore different long dresses in shades ranging from champagne to dusty rose. Every dress was different and complimented each figure perfectly. It was actually my first time seeing all the dresses together on our wedding day. I guess you could say I wasn't your typical bride {haha!}

Groomsmen:
All the groomsmen wore Vera Wang tuxes as well but instead of a bow tie, sported slim black ties. So dapper!

Basically I wanted our wedding to feel glamorous and elegant but super fun as well! I love how everything turned out I couldn't have imagined anything better if I tried.

Up next in the wedding series: Getting Ready + First Look// Stay tuned! :)
