Outfit Post: Classy & Sheer

This sheer shirt look has been seen on celebs like Sarah Jessica Parker and Ashley Tisdale. I personally like this look only when pulled off correctly. I don't really care for the black bra exposed through the sheer shirt, but a delicate floral bra top is the perfect amount of coverage to be shown through a blouse. Here is how I styled it.
shorts & sunnies Buffalo Exchange, Blouse Forever21, bra top Brandy Melville, Michael Kors watch, MadeWithLove bow ring, shoes Cali Girl, bag TJ-Maxx

How would you style a sheer top? Have a great Tuesday!

I love my room so much. I enjoy just hanging out in here because there is absolutely no clutter and I have so much room now! One of the walls is bare but don't worry, that will be fixed by tomorrow with a DIY:) I hope you liked seeing my little sanctuary:)

DIY: Earring Hanger

So as you all know, I have been re-modeling my room and I'm not going to lie...I have a TON of stuff. Jewelry, purses, clothes, books...you name it. So it has been quite a chore to come up with storage ideas for everything. Luckily, I already had this super cute idea for earrings. All I did was purchase some cheese graters from the antique store and BOOM. Instant earring hangers. I am thinking about spray painting them, but for now I wanted to put them up so I could get organized.

Who knew cheese graters could come in so handy? Not to mention cute! I hope you guys had a great Sunday!

Outfit Post: Polished Casual

Today was my first Saturday since I quit teaching out in Scottsdale, so I finally got to stay for all of my mom's ballet class. After that I spent some more time trying to organize my room. It is coming together though and after tomorrow hopefully It will almost be done! I finally got my fashion rack tonight and can't wait to install it!:)
jeans Forever21, tshirt Forever21, Blazer Ann Taylor, scarf Q, heels Plato's Closet, bag Target, Michael Kors Watch, Pandora & Brighton bracelets, Ray Ban sunnies, belt Buffalo Exchange

I really love the look of a polished blazer with some slouchy boyfriend jeans. I borrowed my mom's Ann Taylor blazer today and it worked perfectly! I also didn't really want to carry a big purse tonight so I experimented. All I did was take my messenger bag from Target, tuck the strap in an BOOM! Perfect oversized clutch.

Outfit Post: Shopping Day

I took the whole weekend off from work originally to go on a mini vacation. We ended up not going but this time off is perfect for my room re-model. After meeting my lovely friend Lauren for coffee this morning, Jeff and I headed to downtown Mesa to check out some Antique shops. I ended up finding the most perfect vanity/desk for my room. It is so vintage-y and unique I can't wait to show you guys.
shorts Platos Closet, Obey sweatshirt{California surf shop}, Michael Kors watch, Coach bag, Q hat, Ray Ban sunnies, assorted MadeWithLove bracelets, Charlotte Russe flip flops, DIY crystal necklace

I wanted to be comfy today while cleaning/shopping but I really didn't want to put any workout clothes on {since I took the weekend off}. So I grabbed my ruffle shorts and threw on my Obey sweatshirt and was good to go. You may think I'm cray cray to wear a sweatshirt in July...in AZ...but it just looked so cute. Things I do in the name of fashion... Happy Friday!

Outfit Post: Pink Lady

When I put this outfit on today, I felt like a modern day Pink Lady from the 50's. I love the classic look of the light pink with black polkadots mixed with some simple black jeans and black flats.
jeans Love Culture, shirt Heavenly Boutique, flats Target, Michael Kors watch, bag TJ-Maxx, vintage bracelet, sunnies Buffalo Exchange, necklace Plato's Closet

So today was filled with a full blown room re-model. I have a rather small room, so I decided to get rid of my vanity/desk and replace it with a smaller getting ready/vanity table {still looking for one}. I also am moving my trundle bed out and replacing that with just a bed frame. My bed currently is a sleigh bed which takes up a lot of space in my room, so not having a headboard/footboard {I think} will give me more space to work with. Oh and my closet...don't get me started... Don't worry, there will be before and after pictures! {Hopefully ASAP!}

DIY: Spiked Headband

I have seen these headbands floating around the web and thought they would be super easy to make! Here is a simple tutorial so you can make a spiked headband for yourself.

What you need: Stretchy material, scissors, needle & thread, spikes {I purchased mine from studsandspikes.com}
1. Interlace the fabric
2. Fold ends over
3. Sew ends together
4. Poke a hole with scissors in fabric and attach spikes
5. Repeat

And there you have it! Your own spiked headband that is super stylish and perfect for summer days when you don't want to do your hair. :) And ps do you like the blog's makeover? I love it! Happy Wednesday!

DIY: 5 Strand Braid

I did this hair style last week for this outfit post and fell in love. Its such a unique braid that will get you many compliments! Here is how you do it.
It really helps to actually say "over under, over under". And make sure as you go, you are pulling the braid tight. It keeps the hair in place and easier to handle. If you want a messier look, just pull the hair apart at the end {like I did}. I hope this is easy for you to follow and anyone that tries this look be sure to send a snapshot to me here and I will post them!

Outfit Post: Feminine Flare

This morning I taught my Zumba class and shipped one of my MadeWithLove pieces. {I'm not sure if anyone has noticed but my super popular dream catch bracelet is back on my etsy! Order one here}After Jeff and I checked out the Men's half yearly sale at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack and we didn't come home empty handed. Here is what I wore.
Jeans Abercrombie & Fitch, Blouse Closet, Michael Kors watch, vintage bracelet and pearls, sunnies Buffalo Exchange, shoes H&M

This outfit was inspired by my bestie Gillian. She was wearing some adorable Forever21 flared jeans at Roman's birthday party yesterday with some heels. Its amazing how wearing heels with this cut of jeans elongates the legs {even my short ones!} I got these jeans last fall and surprisingly on sale at Abercrombie & Fitch. I feel like you can never find this fit of jeans anywhere so I was super excited when I found them. I hope you guys are having a fab Monday!

Outfit Post: Cloudy Sundays

Today was filled with birthday parties, bridesmaid dress fittings, and hanging out with family. My best friend's son Roman is turning two next Wednesday so we celebrated his birthday today with pizza, dinosaurs, friends, and family! Such an adorable little man. Later all of us bridesmaids {and the bride Kylie} went to get sized for our dresses. Ahhh I am so excited for my besties wedding it's all coming together and will be here in no time!! Here is what I wore on this cloudy day.
DDE Denim cutoffs, Brandy Melville skull sweater, Cathy Jean boots, Michael Kors watch, assorted bracelets, DIY crystal necklace, Brandy Melville fringe bag

{I love the skulls on this sweater because the color is so feminine.} Also an update on the American Apparel nail polish: I took my gelish off and tried the polish again, shaking it alot first. And it went on so well. I love neon!! I hope you guys are having a relaxing Sunday!
