Outfit Post: Military Chic

Lately, I have to refrain myself from wearing my army vest all the time. I am constantly finding outfits that would look adorable with my vest and I gave in today. I paired it with a frilly shirt, floral pants and my combat boots. I like how the blush pink and floral pants tone down my outfit from being to masculine/military.

Outfit Post: Floral Flare

This morning was the first flag football game for the cute little pom and cheer girls. They did such a good job remembering all their cheers and yelling loud amidst being in direct sunlight. It made for some good sweaty fun! {For the coaches too}

As you can tell, I am already putting my Dooney to use, along with one of the vintage necklaces I picked up yesterday. I love finding classic pieces for super cheap. Thank you guys so much for reading!!:)

Antique Finds

Today Ky and I went to a few Antique stores around town. I definitely wasn't planning on buying anything but of course when you aren't looking for anything specific, that is when you find the gems. I cannot believe how many good items I picked up today. Here is a picture {from my Instagram} of all my finds.
I am seriously so excited about my army jacket. I have been looking for one everywhere {specifically Goodwill, thrift stores and Saver's} and couldn't find one. This one is perfect because you can cinch it in on the side and also on the arms to make it less boxy for only $24. The second thing I found was the adorable brass/gold trash can for my room. It will match perfectly with my brass vanity and was $10. The second item I found was my freaking awesome Dooney and Bourke purse! Ahhhh I am completely obsessed with it. It is in perfect condition the leather is soft and looks like it was hardly worn. I didn't want to leave this behind because you never know if you are going to find anything like it again. Oh and it was on sale for $35. Yeah can't beat it. The last items I purchased were 4 necklaces for $7 dollars each. They are all gorgeous and completely my style. One is like a chain, one is just gold beads, another is chunkier gold beads with almost a gold leaf design on every other one and lastly a layered pearl necklace. I hope you guys enjoyed seeing my antique finds and I'll talk to you tomorrow:)

PS Two of my friends told me today that they went to Old Navy to get the army cargo vest that I was wearing in this post and they didn't have it. If you guys like it and keep checking back and they still don't carry it, I found some others that are adorable from Ebay. {I actually was going to buy the second one but found the vest at Old Navy first. Here and here.

Outfit Post: Pretty In Plaid

So last night I was reading one of my favorite blogger friends post and she may have just purchased the best pair of shoes in the history of shoes. I am not exaggerating I promise. The second I saw them I knew I needed to have them. I actually had to force myself to go to sleep last night to stop thinking about it...Don't worry I purchased them this morning. I can't wait to show you guys when they come:)

DIY: Simple Black & Gold Glitter Mani

I remember back in 7th grade when everyone had their nails painted black because it was the cool, hip thing to do. Well I guess I never got over that, because here I go 8 years later still loving a simple black mani. I changed it up a bit today though, and added a little gold glitter triangle on my ring finger. I think it bumps the classic black mani up a notch, all while making me feel a little more sophisticated while wearing black on my nails. Here is how I did it.
What you need:
Black nail polish {I'm using Sally Hansen}
Quick dry clear base/top coat
Gold glitter {from Michael's Craft Store}
Nail file
Tape
Scissors
Small paint brush
Any other nail grooming tools you need {nail clippers, orange wood stick, etc.}

1. Cut tape into two small strips
2. Place on ring finger nail into a triangle shape
3. Swipe some clear nail polish on and sprinkle some glitter on the nail with the paint brush
4. Take tape off and you have a perfect glitter triangle
5. Finish mani with a base coat of clear, black polish and clear for the top coat.
6. Finished product!
This may be the simplest nail art imaginable. The tape really does the job for you and makes it look like you spent hours lining up the glitter in a triangle. I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial and if you have any questions contact me at sincerelytrulyscrumptious {at} hotmail {dot} com. :) Happy hump day!

Outfit Post: T-Shirt Tailored

Want in on a secret? Sometimes when I don't feel like getting ready or I am in a rush before school, I will throw on a blazer over some cutoffs and a t-shirt, and magically I look like I spent a little more time on my outfit. And I like the juxtaposition of a tailored blazer paired with two more casual pieces. And another secret? You would be cray cray to think I actually wore these heels to school today. I was wearing black sandals, but could not pass up a chance to wear these color block heels in the pictures.

Okay so anyone that has followed my blog for a while knows how much I wear my black and gold TJ-Maxx bag. It is definitely one of my go to bags due to the fact that 1. Black goes with everything, 2. I am always wearing gold jewelry, and 3. It can be worn as a shoulder bag or a messenger bag. Genius I tell you!!? Oh and it was only like $25. Score. I hope you all are having a fabulous Tuesday!

Outfit Post: Classic Black

Whenever I can't think of what to wear, I always revert back to black. Black is sleek, stylish and effortlessly chic. Which is great in my case, because this morning I didn't feel like doing my hair and I was out of my face make-up. So those lips are just a decoy. I don't wear much make-up anyways, so I wasn't too worried when I noticed my compact was completely gone and knew I could pick up more today. Jake, Kylie, Jeff and I went to lunch at LoLo's {which was their first time} and went to the mall. I picked up more of my powder and purchased a few new items from MAC. I will share those this week. Here is what I'm wearing today.
riding pants H&M, tshirt Target, skull scarf Q, Michael Kors watch, vintage chain bracelet, cross bracelet Target, Brandy Melville black skull bracelet, snake ring Heavenly Boutique, flats Forever 21, bag TJ-Maxx

Well I currently should be reading my chapters for my online class so I better get off the computer for at least an hour. Why is it that whenever I need to do something productive a wave of utter tiredness comes over me? Well I'm off to read about Biomes and the environment. Happy studying Sunday!
