Outfit Post: Taking It Back

When I was a Sophomore in High School I made this dress in my fashion design class. I totally forgot about it until I found it hiding in my closet the other day. I am loving the layered look these days, so pairing this dress with a chambray shirt is the perfect combo for fall. Since it is still a little warm here in AZ I opted for bare legs, but when it gets cooler out, a great pair of lace stockings or oxblood tights would look great with it.

dress handmade, chambray top Target, boots Sheikh, vintage Dooney & Bourke, Michael Kors watch, ILY Couture bracelet, F21 pearls, vintage pearl necklace, Francesca's gold necklace

I started getting sick last night, but luckily I didn't have school today so I got to sleep in a little. Jeff picked me up and we went to lunch at Sprouts and then I had work for a couple hours. After work, I stopped by Sally's and picked up a couple gel polishes {I will share with you guys tomorrow}. Now I am ending the night with dinner at home and my online classes. It's nice to just be at home sometimes! Happy hump day!

xoxo,
Alyssa

  5. Hi Alyssa! Thanks for the sweet comment on my blog. Just followed you, too, via bloglovin' and twitter. I really like your blog, too, and am enjoying going through your outfit posts! My favorite one thus far is your "Party at Gatsby" outfit... that is something I would totally wear, too. :) Can't believe you made this dress.. you are so talented! One of my life goals is to learn to design and sew my own clothes. Keep up the fab work!

    Love, S
